That's a pretty conclusive ending, and a surprising one too.

I also have to register the fact that I read the ending of Angel completely differently. The entire episode plays out like a eulogy for the characters and then we get an ending ripped from the close of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid; i.e. Angel et al are all totally, irrevocably dead (regardless of what some fan-fiction inspired comic book spin-offs might artlessly say).

Also: Buffy 5 had the perfect ending, IMHO.Jayunderscorezerohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16611897906121531154noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37940560.post-27571960127414400422008-11-27T00:14:00.000-04:002008-11-27T00:14:00.000-04:00The last episode of Henson's Dinosaurs was absolut...The last episode of Henson's Dinosaurs was absolutely brilliant. The show ends where it began: with the good guys charging out of an alley, determined to keep fighting.

It was abrupt and took me back for a minute, but in the end, it was a great way to end the show: reinforcing that their work is never done and no matter the odds, you have to keep fighting. And besides, TV never could have done an apocalyptic battle with dragons and hell soldiers proper justice.

This way, we can imagine Angel and Co. fighting the good fight forever.Austin Gortonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14281239771248780430noreply@blogger.com
