...Plug away! Vintage Detritus is good for the soul!

I think TW is a lot of people's true or at least first love. I seem to recall seeing that in North America, a lot of people came to Doctor Who via TW. I only know one such person in my entourage, but not too sure what the situation was in the States with BBC America.Siskoidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08266365376486695812noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37940560.post-48923117464573488442013-11-30T18:12:36.843-04:002013-11-30T18:12:36.843-04:00Stoked you're doing Torchwood, my true love in...Stoked you're doing Torchwood, my true love in the Whoniverse. Hope you don't mind if I plug my own episode review from a few years back: http://jhaeman.blogspot.com.au/2009/08/everything-changes-s1e1.html
I think the two actually compliment each other well, as they focus on different things.

With a little bit of distance, I continue to think that what I appreciated most about Torchwood was the willingness to give us genre fiction that was (at least in concept) darker, edgier, and more thought-provoking then the norm. As much as I love Star Wars, Star Trek, Doctor Who, Buffy, and more, sometimes I want something out of the PG box. That's becoming increasingly common as cable networks like HBO and others are getting more and more involved in genre shows.

But if any network tries to be true to Preacher, they better be ready for a reaction ;)Jeremy Patrickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11398438801903631183noreply@blogger.com
