Batman and Lightning are chained to their respective walls, the only thing standing between them and a shower of bullets is Metamorpho. And he decides to turn into a mist. Bat-pleas fall on deaf ears.

See? That was easy. The big surprise here is that Metamorpho and Lightning have never met before. You'd think they'd have a "we said no to those elitist JLA jerks" club that met regularly (which I guess is what the Outsiders is).
While the two guys get acquainted (how 'bout a hug?), Batman is focused on his goal. He must be the only Outsider without amnesia. And so they run down the hall to some very dirty latrines...
...but Lucius is fine! Though not as fine as Batman's calves!
And so the girls reenter our story. Halo is as perky as ever ("You were next on our list, Batman, I swear, like, for real!") and Katana as deadly, wiping off her sword of her enemy's blood.
Little known fact about Katana: The rising sun on her back in made of velcro.
So now the plot thickens (from water to maybe a light broth)! Turns out Katana's loved ones were killed by Markovians. Of all the ethnicities you'd think wouldn't be commonly found on Earth, especially not anywhere near Japan, Markovians would be pretty high on the list. But it can't all be a coincidence, can it?
Oh they're all fine... WAITAMINIT! Why was she wiping down her sword if she hadn't dirtied it? That, my friends, is called not playing fair with your audience. Katana better turn out to be as anal about cleaning her blade as she is about honing her Scrabble skills, because otherwise, I will cry foul. And don't think I won't!
