Spaceknight Saturdays: Rom vs. X-Men vs. Hybrid vs. Rom

It's the battle royale between our favorite Spaceknight, the X-Men and Hybrid. I have to say that the X-Men are really dense here (that's what happens when you don't bring Cyclops along): They're out looking for a new mutant and find a silver robot and a kid being menaced by said robot, and they all assume that the robot is the mutant. Aren't new mutants detected by Cerebro usually teenagers whose powers are budding? Why can't little Jimmy be the mutant? They are dumb and so Rom will have to kick their asses.

Rom vs. Colossus:
PWNED.

Rom vs. Wolverine:
PWNED.

Rom vs. Nightcrawler:
Hum... he's a little too busy to fight Rom at the moment. Nothing to see here.

Rom vs. my favorite, Kitty Pryde:
Ah yes, the little girl with the ghostly powers is the only one who can stop Rom. When she phases through something, she disrupts its circuitry. Rom is full of that stuff!

But Hybrid's in there too, fighting both Rom and the X-Men. What do you call a Mexican stand-off when you're not standing off?

Hybrid vs. Storm
PWNED.

Hybrid vs. Colossus
PWNED.

Hybrid vs. Nightcrawler
Hm... still indisposed.

Hybrid vs. my favorite, Kitty Pryde... Well, this one takes a little longer, and involves throwing not just a snowmobile at her...
...but an engine block as well.
So it's all down to Kitty picking up Rom's dropped Neutralizer (I wonder if she can wield Mjolnir too) and firing it at Hybrid's ugly ass.
Kitty: 2. Everyone else: BALLS.

But what about Rom? He was caught in that blast and is now heading for Limbo!
Ooh, I bet there are some angry Wraiths down there.

Frank Miller on pencils and Terry Austin on inks, according to the GCD.

Oh, Hybrid, Hybrid, Hybrid ... The possibilities! We were deprived of an interesting (and DAMNED disturbing) bad guy all too soon.

Oh I'm not sure why yet (no spoilers please!), but he survives this somehow. He'll be back.

Damn right! :)

Also, have you seen your traffic increase recently, as the legions of Nightcrawler/Colossus shippers find their way to you now?

I don't actually have a counter or tracker on the blog. I know I should, but I'm just keeping myself from probable disappointment. ;)
