The Halloween party theme this year was Famous Drinkers, though some did choose to ignore it. No big whoop. That's fine. As long as there's plenty of geekery going around. Me? I was Tony Stark circa Iron Man #128, filtered through the recent movie. No clear picture survives - the moustache disappeared early in the evening and my homemade light-up chest piece was destroyed thanks to repeated punches attempting to stop Tony's heart. Here's the clearest it gets:
If the springs weren't coming out of it, I'd recreate the costume, but them's the breaks. Better efforts:
Cliff and Norm from Cheers
Pat and Bébert went to nostalgia route with this pair, really only missing some appropriate hairpieces. Drink of choice: Beer (mugs).
Capitaine Haddock
Yet another Haddock this year, but better realized by Ludger. For the French-speaking geek. Drink of choice: Whiskey.
Rock Lee from Naruto
Now we're getting to the geekiest efforts. Sly did a great job on his drunken fighter outfit too. Drink of choice: Sake.
Misato from Neon Genesis Evangelion
Complete with her version of Pen-Pen, Annik created the NERV uniform herself and went so far as to color her hair and cut those little bangs. It's a good thing she's not into cosplay because she'd kill. Drink of choice: Beer (cans; in the morning).
Marsha Klein from Spaced
Isabel went all UK on us with an interpretation of the lush from upstairs. Drink of choice: Wine.
Mario Bros. and DaisyNot drinkers, but I suppose they do take mushrooms (not that I'm condoning that). Still, worthy of interest. Always fun to see people (Marc-André, Julie and Steph) gang up to create a scene.
And again, not drinkers, but no Halloween party would be complete without some evil criminals in attendance...
The Joker
and of course...
Sarah Palin
SuperDave and Carolynn respectively. And now if you'll excuse me, I'll go have a lie down.

Great costume!
I might of made something more geeky but I didn't plan on going and my costume was really last minute closet scavenging.
