Source: Superboy vol.3 #83 (2001)
Type: Current SuperboyThis was the costume Superboy wound up wearing when Joe Kelly took over his title for a brief run near the end volume 3's 100 issues (102, if you want to be pedantic). Darker reds, fewer leg belts, a leather jacket that follows the costume's overall design, and funky (silly?) eye and ear accessories. A touch of teenage facial hair completes a look that, while not bad, wouldn't last much more than 2 years. To compare, Kon-El's original was pretty much maintained for 13 years, and the black t-shirt used to today has been around for almost 8.
But what if Superboy had gone with one of his other choices? Here they are, you make the call!
The Rapper
Euro-Cool
The Punisher
I guess he took the best of what was available after all...
