Type: Villainous copy
So there's actually a story in which Perry White and Commissioner Gordon are running around free inside the Fortress of Solitude and accidentally knock over a bottle of X-22 gas which turns them evil. Perry uses his knowledge of Superman's adventures to find and steal Superman's youth serum (which works only for a few hours) and super-charge himself with Kryptonian-like powers with yet another Fortress treasure (Gordon declines, I guess). Their evil plan: To disgrace Superman and Batman in a variety of ways, including running around as Anti-Superman and Anti-Batman.
And here you though the black "S" and the totally black Bat costume (it's actually dark green) were invented in the 90s... Other ploys include stealing trophies out of the Fortress and the Batcave and giving them back to the proper criminals in jail (sadly, they don't touch the giant penny), and running after Superman with Gold Kryptonite. Eventually, Batman figures out their identities and Superman cures them of the X-22.
The other thing I learned reading this comic: Lois Lane is real easy to devastate.
That's when Superman realizes that he WAS humiliated at that! The Silver Age - back when the stakes were high.

One could be that Lois is crying because Jimmy and Lois caught Superman raving at a Lady Gaga concert, and he was wearing the meat outfit she wore at the music awards.
