If you didn't read the Johnny DC title Supergirl: Cosmic Adventures in the 8th Grade in 2009, you missed something special. It used the "late babysitter" idea, but made Supergirl a 13-year-old that Superman had to send to Junior High. Wouldn't you know it, she runs afoul of Lex Luthor's niece... for starters. Throw in Comet the Super-Horse, a super-intelligent Streaky and both story and art (by Landry Q. Walker and Eric Jones) that's as charming as all get-out, and you've got a series in deep need of a sequel. So if, like me, you'd like to see Supergirl graduate to the 9th grade, there's actually a new-born petition you can sign, either through Facebook (I hear this thing is popular with the kids and grandparents) or Twitter (twitition? really? we're trying that out as a word now?).
Supergirl wants to know if Mxyzptlk will return, but I want to know if SHE will. Start voting!
