A Very Good Year for the Cryonic Man

An Outsiders interludeIf you haven't discovered DC Fifty-TOO! yet, do yourself a favor and check it out. Calamity Jon Morris asked 52 cartoonists to each submit one new DC title of their choice making up an alternate "New 52" that's bound to be more exciting than the official releases.

Among these, Cryonic Man #1 by T.J. Kirsch. Readers of this blog's over-critical Outsiders reviews will recognize "Cryo-Phil" from Batman & the Outsiders #6-7. So in addition to appearing in my recent analysis of B&TO #7, he's also been made a star of the Alt-New 52! He'll be joined by Blue Devil, the Creeper, Kamandi and others, but you'll just have to follow the link above to find out who!

Ha, yeah, DC Fifty Too is really good, the stuff Calamity Jon & Co. post looks waaaay cooler than what we can expect from DC. A great project.

I don't remember this chap at all. Does he weep icy tears?

You're invited to go back in the blog's archives by clicking the Outsiders tag. Cryo is quite the character, not quite an ice villain at all!
