No One Wants to Be Friends with a Psychiatrist

Machine Man says:
Until they need one, of course. I expect this was the first of three rough weeks at work that have undermined my ability to function without an insupportable level of psychic trauma. I don't have a psychiatrist, psychologist or therapist. I don't believe in it (for myself - if it works for you...). No, instead I depend on the motivational power of Jack Kirby's Machine Man.

Whatever gets you through the day, right?

Nothing both stimulates and kills a conversation at the dinner table quite like the phrase "I am a psychiatrist."

Well, possibly the phrase "I am a lawyer."
