Source: 1st appearance in Earth 2 #18 (2014)
Type: Alternate Earth
The New52's hyphenless Earth 2 is a combination of Golden Age characters (including DC's big three) and the Fourth World. So Jimmy's in there, since Superman is (or was) AND his Bronze Age series was a key piece of Jack Kirby's Fourth World.
Without going into Earth 2's violent history too much, this Jimmy (he prefers James) was imprisoned by the World Army for cyber-crimes as the entity "Accountable", which seemed to be a whole organization of hacktivists. But no, just one guy, though a guy with amazing hacktivist powers. Accountable can process information at incredible speeds through contact with any device with an Internet connection!
Freed by Batman, Lois "Red Tornado" Lane and other heroes, Accountable throws in with them to help against the new rise of Apokalipsian forces, and manages to get chosen by a Mother Box that leaves him with expanded powers.
A high-speed connection to the Source Wall allows him to levitate, create Boom Tubes, and manipulate machines. It's like he's a humanoid Mother Box. After Convergence, Earth 2 has been destroyed and its refugees land on Telos to make a new home. There, Fourth World Jimmy is treated as a God in one particular township, and it goes right to his head. No longer Accountable, he calls himself...
Doctor Impossible! And that's pretty much where we're up to. Jimmy as super-villain. Earth 2's Brainiac?

Comments
I guess at least there IS an Earth two now. I kinda missed the multiverse.
It got so "claustro" after CRISIS (as if one universe wasn't big enough for me??): no Justice Society of America or Jay Garrick, Power girl in place of SG, no more grey templed Superman no more Batman/Batman team-ups.
Ahem, so, Telos, eh? James and the Cybermen, then?
Dang, I gotta keep UP!
