One Panel #63-64: Breaking Floors and Chains

I'm not gonna hide the fact that I'm setting things up to put Action Comics on TOP next time, so bear with me, superhero fans. The DCU hasn't quite turned all capes yet.
From Larry Steele: "The Jenks Kidnapping Case: Part 5" by Will Ely, Detective Comics #16 (June 1938)

Out of context, it looks crazy, but there was a fire in that house, which explains this particular gangster's demise. Still, a funny visual.

From "Captain" Desmo: "Genghis Akhim: Part 2" by Ed Winiarski, New Adventure Comics #27 (June 1938)

While flying over Mongolia, Captain Desmo routs a band of fierce Mongols who were attacking an outpost of the Emco Oil Co. Later, he encountered the band at an inn. During a fight, Desmo was struck from behind and rendered unconscious. Instead of awaiting his fate like a good boy, he basically turns into the Golden Age Grimbor the Chainsman.
