oHOTmu or NOT Ep.20: Sangria Special

For our 20th episode, a change of pace: We revisit the first two issues of the Official Handbook and look at what happened to some of those characters after 1985. Especially fashion-wise. Which are still Hot, which are still Not, and which have been redeemed and condemned? Also: Sangria makes the girls goofier than usual.

Featuring permanent panelists Elyse (Havana Nights), Isabel (Lip-Bomb), Nathalie (DJ Nath), Josée (Art-Girl), Amélie (AmyUltraViolet) and Shotgun.

So, Siskoid, I assume you were sober throughout all this? Either that or you can really hold your booze.

I like the idea of doing updates on the characters; I hope it becomes a regular feature every 20 episodes. As for the Baron Mordo villain reveal in the movie ... that's why us geeks sit through the credits all the way to the end :)

Yes, I think I mentioned it. I was sick so in no shape to drink. I was hardly even in shape to host the damn thing.

Something about original Cannonball's gawkyness is terrifying.

Love the updates! I agree with Mike W. This should definitely be revisited every couple of issues.

For Archangel, Beast, (female) Beetle, and Brother Voodoo you used the artwork from the Facebook game Avengers Alliance. I really wish they hadn't abandoned that game. It had a fun story, and as you can tell, an iconic look to it. That was one of my favorite time wasters on my break at work.

Cannonball: At least his new outfit(s) cover up his Dumbo-esque ears.

And yes, the 90s were pretty awful for costumes in comics.
