A couple of Quality Comics splash panels this week, since they share a theme:
From Espionage Starring Black X: "Devil's Island" by Will Eisner (as William Erwin), Smash Comics #13 (August 1940)
Will Eisner, am I right?
From Zero, Ghost Detective: "Danse Macabre" by Toni Blum and Zolnerowich (as Noel Fowler), Feature Comics #35 (August 1940)
Makes it seem like Zero is a dog hero in the tradition of Rintintin, but no, that's not Zero himself (he's just a ghost breaker type guy). But I just love the pup's reaction to Death playing the violin. It IS worrying.
