From: JLA: The Nail #2-3 (September-November 1998)
JLA: The Nail presents an Elseworld where the Kents' truck has a flat tire (caused by the eponymous nail), which prevents them from discovering baby Kal-El in his Kryptonian spaceship. For lack of a Superman, all sorts of bad stuff happens to the heroes who nevertheless rise out of this version of the DCU. The Kryptonian spaceship was instead found by LexCorp who immediately started a cloning/Bizarro/human-Kryptonian hybrid program. This world's Krypto is a result of those experiments, and not the most successful either.
In the end, this Krypto succumbs to rapid cellular fission. Only Jimmy Olsen survives as a viable hybrid, and he needs to get a beat down from (surprise!) Kal-El.
