It's here! The sixth volume to act as companion to the 50th Anniversary Doctor Who sourcebooks for Cubicle 7's Doctor Who RPG - they covered the Doctor Who canon, we covered the extracanonical adventures from the novels, audios, comics, and more!
You can download (or just read) it HERE in high (printable) or low (computer screen) resolution.
Many believe - and I do too - that Colin Baker's 6th Doctor was redeemed by the stories told in non-television formats, most especially the Big Finish audios, but he's got some good novels and funky comics too, not to mention The Stranger series of videos that are Doctor-adjacent and yes, are included in this book! The 6th Doctor had one of the shortest stints on television, but his success in alternative media has made this the biggest book we've yet put together, and indeed, likely to be the biggest of all at 360+ pages (the 7th and 8th Doctors will each see their adventures split into two books, otherwise, yeah, they'd blow the record and be unworkable). So what this is is at least one entry from each Sixth Doctor novel and audio, plus material from short stories, comics, and even a few from the televised show itself (characters we felt had been neglected in the official book). You'll find people, monsters, places, dates, gear, the works, as well as a timeline that puts it all together, and adventure seeds, both original and based on the source material, for the prospective GameMaster. While I did the layouts, coordination, and editing, the lion's share of contributions came, as ever, from Peter "misterharry" Gilham, without whom this project would be impossible. Best proofreader in the land as well! I'm also grateful to other contributors, namely Catsmate, Escher, Edward Reed, General Rose, and visual artist Brendon Wright.
And of course, my personal thanks to everyone who's kept up with the project for the past five years. It started as a 50th Anniversary project, but we're now at the 55-year mark. If you're interested in contributing to the Seventh Doctor's books, we're starting with his pre-Bernice Summerfield adventures; the second volume will take up the baton from when she joined the TARDIS crew. Get in touch with us at The Extra-Canonical McCoy (pre-Benny) bulletin board. It should be out in 2019, but for Christmas, we'll also come out with the Third Doctor Update 2018. Pertwee's Doctor has had a few adventures since his book came out, and we'll also delve into some of his old comic strips.
And now, a few pages for readers not interested enough to click the links, starting with the massive table of contents (click to enlarge), followed by a few select entries:
Enjoy!
