One Panel #346-348: Hey, Isn't That..?

From Bulletman: "The Coming of the Triple Threat" by Al Carreno, Master Comics #12 (March 1941)

Used to be Bulletman would just launch himself at people and butt heads with them. But a superhero needs to evolve if he's to survive, so less than a year after his introduction, he's spinning around to keep himself in flight, and at times, seems like the latter-day Red Tornado. Minus the emo, of course.

From Reynolds of the Mounted: "The Black Bat" by Art Pinajian, Feature Comics #43 (April 1941)

Wha--?! Batman in a Quality Comic?! Well, no, that's the "Black Bat". No relation we're sure. Batman would never let himself be driven off a cliff by the RCMP and fall to his death while gloating about his cape's gliding abilities. I'm sure the artist knew what he was doing.

From Prop Powers: "The Secret Fascist Base" by Lynn Byrd and Witmer Williams, National Comics #10 (April 1941)

And let's let go of that spurious theme to show some cool World War II action, courtesy of Prop Powers. Maybe I just needed a fresh ocean spray to cool myself down.
