Krypto may be the faithful companion of SuperMAN, but he likes the smell of the ladies. In Supergirl #79, Linda Danvers goes back to pre-Crisis Earth-1 to take Kara's place in the Crisis and hangs with the Super-Pets, including Krypto-1 who deigns to be playful with Streaky for her sake.
And back in the post-Crisis universe, Krypto blows Batman's detective skills out of the water by tracking down Poison Ivy from her scent alone.
Cat love that I am, Streaky would have been completely useless there. Ivy would have disabled him with catnip and made him her slave.
