Krypto #144: Fernus' Dog

When J'Onn J'Onzz temporarily evolves into an evil, burning Martian known as Fernus, the JLA are taken unawares and are tortured physically and mentally by the cruel creature. Fernus also takes command of Krypto and uses him to turn the Atom into a chew toy.

There's no hard feelings though. After they escape, Krypto gives a sympathetic whine and the Atom just asks if the super-dog has had his shots.
