From: Teen Titans #7, 9-10 (March - June 2004)
Superman, in the guise of doing something nice for Superboy, shows himself to be a deadbeat dad once again, handing the dog he usually leaves at the Fortress of Solitude to Connor to be "trained". Gonna teach you some responsibility, boy! (Listen to what you just said, Man of Steel.) (He doesn't actually say that, but I hear it anyway.)
Superboy wasn't a dog person when Krypto was his little terrier, and he's not a dog person now.
Having Krypto at Titans Tower proves to be just as unmanageable.
From there, Krypto barks at other Titans a lot and digs up Starfire's garden. And he eats something alien he shouldn't and gets sick. He'll be okay, but that's how they're taking him out of the equation when the Titans need to fight Brother Blood.
So if you didn't want Krypto to take part in the stories, why bring him in at all? Trust me, we'll return to his stint in the Titans in due course. Maybe he can bond with one of the other kids.
