Batman #5 marks the first appearance of the Batmobile with the Batman face at the front of it, AND the Batboat (sort of), but I just had to instead pay tribute to an image that would often recur in Batman comics over the years, as this is also the first time a Robin is presumed dead, and the Bat goes all out with the cradling and the brooding. Most prominently, it's an image reused on the cover of Batman #156, "Robin Dies at Dawn", and in the "Death in the Family" storyline.
Seems that every few years, podcasting friend Rob Kelly votes for Robin to be killed...
