From: "Message in a Bottle", Legion of Super-Heroes animated series Season 2 episode 8 (Dec.1 2007)
A thousand years hence, while young Superman is a member of the Legion of Super-Heroes, he finds his way to the bottled city of Kandor which has been waiting a loonnnng time for him to fulfill his promise of restoring the citizens to a proper size. What he failed to do in his own time might be possible with 31st-Century technology, if only the Legion can defeat Imperiex first. Of interest to us in this episode is a white dog who runs over to lick Superman to consciousness early in the episode. Is it Krypto if they never call him that? Maybe Krypton only had one breed of dog and they all look the same. And yet, he has an affection for Superman. All that's missing is powers. And in the climax, Brainiac 5 turns Kandor's sun yellow and... Yeah, not just a super-powered Krypto, but a Streaky as well! Not that Streaky was ever Kryptonian, but still. It's a nerdariffic reference!
