Krypto #169: Brave and Bold Krypto

From: "Battle of the Superheroes!", Batman: The Brave and the Bold Season 3 episode 5 (Mar.25 2011)

Batman teams up with Krypto when Superman becomes a super-dick thanks to Red Kryptonite in "Battle of the Superheroes!", an episode that pays homage to dozens of Silver Age stories. The super-dickery makes Supes throw his loyal dog out of the Fortress of Solitude so Batman takes him in, and together, they pull a BvS some years before the fact. I'd say they're pulling a Dark Knight Returns, but it's even got an almost-MARTHAAAAA moment. Best bit for Krypto? Getting knocked into space and coming back as a blazing meteor!

That knocks "King Superman" for a loop! Then the super-dog saves Lois and Jimmy and disappears from the story. Shame. He really should have enjoyed the fruits of the heroes' victory. No parade for Krypto!
