Krypto #172: Final Crisis Krypto

From: Final Crisis #3-4, 6, plus Final Crisis: Legion of Three Worlds #5 (July - September 2009, and January 2010)

I can't be sure and I can't really explain the plot of Final Crisis, but when Wonder Woman gets turned into a Female Fury, I think she's riding a mutated Krypto. He's white. He's got a polygonal name tag. And Catwoman is riding a dog that's masked, Batwoman one that has a bat-like collar; either could be Ace the Bat-Hound, I don't know.

I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING!

DAMN YOU GRANT MORRISON, WHAT'S HAPPENING!!!?????!

Meanwhile, in another pretty unrelated corner of the Final Crisis, Krypto makes a cameo as one of the (Pet) Legionnaires fighting Superboy-Prime's Legion of Super-Villains in Final Crisis: Legion of 3 Worlds.

Finally, something I feel sure about.

I think the dogs are supposed to be like the mounts of the Atomic Knights....but for that to make sense, you had to have both:

1) Read one of the Countdown mini-series
2) Ignored that same mini-series because that wasn't how they were used in the mini.

So yes, perfectly Morrisonian.

They are the giant Dalmatians from The Atomic Knights, but they are actually mutated dogs from Bludhaven, which is still radioactive from INFINITE CRISIS. Wonder Woman meets several of the Knights riding on the dogs, and this scene is more like in the AK stories.

Which is not to say that is Krypto. Nice catch on the bat-collar, I never saw that before.

those are not dogs those are creatures of apocolips like giant dogs that darkside solderes (which are not parademos) ride like horses.
