From "The Shining Knight" by Henry Lynne Perkins and Creig Flessel, Adventure Comics #66 (September 1941)
Future Soldier of Victory, Sir Justin, the Shining Knight, pulls a Captain America (long before that was a thing) and joins Adventure Comics' stable of heroes fighting the good fight in the 1940s. It's basically A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court in reverse, trading on such strange sights as the one above, a knight jousting with everyday criminals and spiking the odd hat. Atop a winged horse of course. You will believe chainmail repels bullets!
Any fans of the Shining Knight in the audience?
