From: Superman/Batman #75 (October 2010)
As a fluff piece (and it is VERY fluffy), Duncan Rouleau pits the Super-Dog against the Bat-Hound to see who is a superhero's best friend. It is patently ridiculous to ask since our boy Krypto is in every way superior, and besides, appears in way more stories. Sure, Batman is cool, so the idea of a Bat-dog is inherently cool, but he's still just an ordinary dog, no matter how much you'd like to think he had "detective-like" intelligence. A solar-powered Kryptonian breed even has the advantage of heightened intelligence. So for example, Rouleau gives one particular round to Ace because of his discerning olfactory sense, but come on, there's nothing his nose can do, Krypto's can't do better. Unless there's kryptonite involved, there's no call to use Ace instead of Krypto. Sorry.
And no, it's not a draw. Not at all.
BONUS KRYPTO: The same issue has him as a puppy on Christmas.
Retcon memory as needed.
