Before writing a new piece relevant to the tag "Dating Kara Zor-El", I clicked the tag link, and I was surprised to see the same image twice in the few articles previously written. See for yourself:
Is that artist Jim Mooney poaching from himself? Looks like it. The first panel is from Action Comics ##269 (1960), where Kara kisses Jerro the Merboy.
The second panel is from Action Comics #290 (1962), and features Kara kissing Jerro at super-speed.
The crucial point is that despite the copy-paste, she gets a kissing award the first time, but not the second time. Is it because it was too quick to be enjoyed? Or is it the law of diminishing returns? You gotta mix it up a little, Kara! If you don't, your Merboy of choice is going to lose interest, and then where will you be? Kissing horses or your cousin. I've seen the Silver Age and it's a rocky, treacherous road. And before you know it, Jerro isn't even in the picture anymore.
