Veritable ghost with a possible connection to Hell itself? Well, no. More like scientist who painted his invisibility formula onto his cloak to make it seem like he was just a floating head atop a cloud of mist. He seems to die in this, his introductory story, but even the last panel doesn't seem so sure it wants to do away with this early super-villain. Indeed, he would return to plague Starman 10 issues later, and become an important element of the 1990s Starman series. Don't believe his vanishing act!
