I think Rick Jones played folk music, or something of that type. He was usually portrayed as one of those guys that sings in coffee houses to hipsters, if I remember right. The story where Rick got out of the Negative Zone was pretty wild; Captain Marvel found out there was a Negative Zone portal in the Baxter Building, so he fought his way in, yanked the portal open, and pulled Rick out, finally putting both of them in the same dimension.
Your comments about Stan using alliterative names because of his bad memory reminded me that he once referred to Peter Parker as "Peter Palmer" in an early Spidey story.

Folk rock is what they say in the entry, but during Peter David's runs on Hulk and Captain Marvel, he was shown as playing superhero-themed rock (sometimes Weird Al-like parodies of real songs, and occasionally songs by the actual band of comic-book creators named Seduction of the Innocent)

Similarly, Dr. Banner was referred to as "Bob Banner" in multiple places, eventually leading to the retcon of his full name being "Robert Bruce Banner."
