Okay, I want to be done with September 1941, so here are panels from the three books I haven't already mined for material. They all happen to be from Quality.
From Plastic Man: "Crime School For Delinquent Girls" by Jack Cole, Police Comics #4 (November 1941)
Plastic Man shows that being a stretchable hero isn't always to his advantage.
From Merlin the Magician: "Incident In Greenland" by Fred Guardineer, National Comics #17 (October 1941)
Merlin is always good for a weird panel, like in this scene where he has summoned Zeus himself to blast German planes out of the sky.
From Wings Wendall: "John Smith, Assassin" by Vernon Henkel, Smash Comics #28 (November 1941)
And while we're on the subject of planes, I find this metaphorical splash panel for the Wings Wendall strip in Smash pretty damn impactful.
So there. Next week, October 1941 begins.
