Well here's the thing. I spent 2015 dedicating a weekly article to various versions of Jimmy Olsen. One of 2019-2020's coolest DC releases was a new Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen series by Matt Fraction and Steve Lieber, which is so dense I haven't even finished it yet! And it feels like that series alone could give me a whole other year's worth of Jimmy Olsens!

So here's just a cute snapshot, just a throwaway, part of a montage of things Jimmy remembers after Superman offers to bring him on missions as a front line photojournalist, a montage that makes him say "no thanks". In this untold adventure, "canon" as of Rebirth (or canon-ish, this series is INSANE in the best way), Jimmy was apparently turned into a horse and ran around with either Comet, or if Comet doesn't exist, that's either Superman or Supergirl also transformed into an equine hero.

We'll never know, but I love his bow tie. Bow ties are cool.

You laugh, but there's a bit on this Jimmy Olsen series where there's a Reign of the Jimmy Olsens riff, with an armored Jimmy, a cyborg Jimmy, etc.

That's at least the reference, but we're not told. This is a flashback and the whole of the "episode".

I bookmarked this blog ages ago and it popped up when I was looking for some Superboy (1988 TV show) gifs on line for an image reply on another site, so it's lovely to see it's still being updated. Superman's Pal (the Fraction/Lieber run) was fabulous and I highly recommend the collected edition to people. And yes, that's likely Kara or Clark, since I don't remember Comet having a cape, but goddess knows Lieber wouldn't make an error like some other artist would, or rely on lazy editors (who rely on lazy assistants, who are overworked and underpaid, to know this stuff). I'm annoyed now that the WB Disco suits have decided to pare down on DC stuff on HBO Max save for primarily connected theatrical stuff, we'll never likely get a proper Jimmy show in live action that connect to the delicious Silver Age or even any kind of adaption of this run. Sigh....
