One Panel #537-538: Wait a Minute

From "The Black Poet" by Phil Bard and possibly Clem Weisbacker, Minute Man #3 (March 1942)

Minute Man's solo series ends at #3 (Fawcett didn't have a whole lot of luck with solo books except for Captain Marvel's), but he had some weird villains and fought the good fight in cool locations (like the Statue of Liberty, in this issue). Maybe the world had too many "patriot heroes" and they couldn't all survive the way Captain America, the Shield or Uncle Sam did.

Don't worry, he's still appearing in Master Comics...

Yes, you made it, and you'll be safe and comfy in this book for the next couple years. Just don't ask me to guarantee you a good career at DC Comics itself...

MINUTE-MAN was the first major Fawcett character to have his feature ended. Ended in MASTER COMICS #49, April 1944. Replaced in issue #50 by RADAR:THE INTERNATIONAL POLICEMAN (An Agent with Psychic abilities.) Captain Marvel, Jr and Bulletman are still the lead heroes in the title. ("Nyoka, The Jungle Girl" replaces "Hoppalong Cassidy" with issue #50 as well)

It does seem odd a parotitic hero would be ended while WWII was still going on.
