From "The Headless Horror", creative team unknown, Bulletman #4 (March 1942)
Two solo books from Fawcett, two very similar images of the heroes punching a headless/faceless threat. The Headless Horror gets punched in the gut, so Bulletman makes sure he can't miss.
From "The Slayer on Skis" by Alfred Bester (artist unknown), Captain Marvel Adventures #4 (February 1942)
As for the Wendigo, he DOES have a head, and even a face, but his hood makes it seem like he doesn't. It's more amusing to think of his as an empty parka on skis.
