From "The Curse of Ibac" by unknown creators, Captain Marvel Adventure #8 (March 1942)
The Big Red Cheese appears in THREE comics in February 1942. His own quarterly book introduces Ibac, who can summon the abilities of Ivan the Terrible, Cesare Borgia, Attila the Hun and Caligula the Debauched (providing Terror, Cunning, Fierceness and Cruelty, respectively) when he says his own name.
From Captain Marvel: "The Dervish of Ank-Har" by C.C. Beck, Whiz Comics #28 (March 1942)
Whiz Comics is the anthology he habitually fronts, but yeech, this one has a story where Cap warns us to "any and all enemies of America", goes into an American mosque fists flying, and throws some foreigners back to where they came from. Ok, just a few blocks, but... not good.
From Captain Marvel: "The Park Robberies" by C.C. Beck, America's Greatest Comics #2 (February 1942)
And Captain Marvel also starred in America's Greatest Comics, another Fawcett anthology, this one only showcasing strips from their best characters, i.e. those that at any point were able to carry their own book (no matter for how long). So Bulletman, Spy Smasher, Minute-Man and Mr. Scarlet. Yes, even Mr. Scarlet. Cap is still first in the line-up of course.
I've broken my own rule about only showing ONE panel (which made me cut out insets in the top image here), because I really like how the bullet ricochets into another panel - INTO THE PAST IN FACT! WHOA!
