Not sure why Sheldon Moldoff chose to do this piece at the top of the Hawkman story rather than a more traditional splash panel that related to the story and had a blurb announcing what was supposed to happen, but I like it. Hawkman in space has nothing to do with "The Mechanical Master", but it's a nice image, and it seems to herald the Silver Age Hawkman as a Flash Gordon type hero.
