From Starman: "The Case of the Monstrous Animal-Men" by Gardner Fox, Jack Burnley and Ray Burnley, Adventure Comics #74 (April 1942)
Jack Kirby's Sandman may have taken over the cover of Adventure Comics, but Starman's not going down without a fight and still gas the top story. A mad scientist has created a ray to unleash your totem animal, but doesn't count on the fact that a hero like Starman is gonna become a powerful beast (at least until he uses his Rod to undo the change). The scientist himself becomes a greedy pig when his device is turned on him.
What animal-man would YOU turn into? For me, it depends on the time of day. On an industrious morning, ANT-MAN! But catch me in the afternoon and you get SLOTH-MAN!
