From "Man or Superman?" by Jerry Siegel, Joe Shuster and John Sikela, Superman #17 (August 1942)
As a collector of images that pay tribute to the cover of Action Comics #1, I thrilled at this montage-style panel of Lois Lane flipping through her Superman scrapbook, looking for clues as to whether or not Clark Kent could be the Man of Steel. So the cover was a picture! Hey, who snapped those shots? Jimmy Olsen was just a copy boy and not introduced yet when these stories took place, and whoever it was had to grab one in the sky, and another JUST AS LOIS WAS ABOUT TO BE HIT BY A SPEEDING BULLET!
That's one amazing photojournalist. The by-line reads... Joe Shuster? That kid's going places!
