From "Cicero's Cat" by Bud Fisher, Green Lantern #4 (June 1942)
Sure, it's the issue where Alan Scott and Doiby Dickles join the army, but I was taken by Bud Fisher's strip (reprinted from newspapers), starring a cat with an upsettingly human face, and the idea of breaking panel borders to escape a dog. I get a lot of enjoyment from comics that play with the form.
Sorry Green Lantern fans!
