One Panel #678: Off to Jail

And now begins One Panel's coverage of DC comics out on the stand in August of 1942:

From Superman: "The Man Who Put Out the Sun" by Jerry Siegel, John Sikela and George Roussos, Action Comics #53 (October 1942)

The context for this ridiculous image: Superman uses make-up and a brown suit to pose as a criminal and get information out of his cell mate. Featuring the little-thought-about Golden Age Fortress of Solitude--pardon, his Secret Citadel (which first appeared in Superman #17), and Superman's apparent love for Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.
