Launched: The Eighth Doctor Expanded Universe Sourcebook Vol.1

Two years in the making! Finally releasing the first volume of the Eighth Doctor Expanded Universe Sourcebooks for Cubicle 7's Doctor Who RPG, in line with their 50th Anniversary line of books (so 1st edition, and hey, in time for the SIXTIETH!) - they covered the Doctor Who canon, we covered the extracanonical adventures from the novels, audios, comics, and more!

You can download (or just read) it HERE in high (printable) or low (computer screen) resolution.

There are actually very few audios in this first Volume, because even cut up into pieces, covering the novels era still makes it the BIGGEST book we've done. Volume 2 will cover the short-hair, audio era, but will still stop short of the Time War stories which will get their own, multi-Doctor sourcebook. The meat of this one is the BBC Eighth Doctor Adventures line, which went DEEP into Time Lord mythology and advanced the Doctor's story as much as Virgin's New Adventures did for the 7th Doctor. After all, it was all open-ended back then, with no televised Doctor Who stories in sight. The lion's share of contributions came once again from Peter "misterharry" Gilham, without whom this project would be impossible, but this time around there are a lot of entries pulled from the comics, thanks to new contributor Dylan "Malk" Carroll, a name that will remain associated with this series going forward. They delivered their texts last year and the lateness on this volume is entirely my fault. But we encouraged each other to put the book out on the 60th Anniversary, and perhaps even Volume 2 by the end of the same year!

So enjoy this collection of companions, allies, villains, monsters, places and gadgets from this first, hefty half of the 8th Doctor's stories. As usual, my thanks to everyone who's kept up with the project in spite of the delays. And if you're more of a Big Finish fan when it comes to Paul McGann's Doctor, hold on to you fobwatch, it's coming soon!

And now, a few pages for readers not interested enough to click the links, starting with the table of contents (click to enlarge), followed by a few select entries:

Enjoy!
