Another great episode (in spite of the shade being thrown toward Saskatchewan); for the record, what I was trying to say was that Gambit's power is to BE both too hot and too cool simultaneously. You were supposed to read it in a sarcastic voice, Siskoid :)

I was just waiting for someone to say "J'accuse" during the Ronan bit and you didn't disappoint me. You're right about the stereotype heroes, most of which were introduced in the Contest of Champions; wasn't the Chinese hero called "Collective Man"?

I noticed a surprised reaction when you mentioned the Swimsuit Specials. Now there's something the girls need to review, if only to get their opinions on how male artists drew women back then. I'm thinking the Hots and Nots would run about 50/50 ...

"Where are all the characters who vomit?"

They don't show up until the 2000s and beyond. Zeitgeist, the 2nd Angel, the Red Lanterns...

Re: Ronan. I always pronounced it "Cosmih-Rod" rather than "Cosmee-Rod" in my head since it comes from the word "cosmic." I think that sounds a little better, but still not great.
