Personally, I would have included "Regeneration" in the horror watch list for Star Trek. There were definite elements of "The Thing" in the early portions of the episode, and then it goes into Zombie outbreak with a mixture of Alien when they get aboard the Enterprise. Phlox gets some decent body horror stuff to deal with as he fights off the Borg nanoprobes.
