From "The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse" by Al Gabriele and Reed Crandall, Uncle Sam Quarterly #5 (December 1942)
Seems Batman wasn't the only superhero who slept in the same bed as his young sidekick, here's the physical manifestation of America itself doing the same with kid partner Buddy. Yeah, cuz two people can't sleep in the same bed without hands wandering under the blankets. Kids never sleep in their parents' bed. Poor people don't share beds in cramped apartments (and yet, I distinctly remember our family doing that in one combination or another after my parents' divorce). Sports teams and other school delegations don't sleep two to a bed in hotel rooms. Right?! (cough)
The rules of the game have me showing you the first panel of the story, but Reed Crandall follows that up by two big connected splashes featuring the Horsemen of the Apocalypse from the Book of Revelations. Big wow. Sorry I went for the easy joke and prude-shaming instead.
