Who's Harpis?

Who's This? A reverse ugly duckling.

The facts: A member of the Omega Men and Demonia's sister, Harpis first appeared in Green Lantern #141 (June 1981) and is therefore an original member, and remained so for the length of the group's first series. In the 2006 second series, she was a member of the undead Darkstars, having been referenced as dead in that series first issue. There was a Harpis in the New52 continuity, but not as a main character.
How you could have heard of her: In 2019, the Supergirl series featured Omega Men clone impostors, including Harpis.
Example story: Omega Men #11 (February 1984) "Of Vice and Virtue!" by Roger Slifer, Tod Smith and Mike DeCarlo
Her big arc was getting her wings ripped off and her mind fractured by her sister's death at Tigorr's hands. So let's get right to the story's resolution... And it takes place at a space bordello (well frequented by Tigorr) where Harpis and her sister used to work. And seeing her Mama Madame shakes her out of her madness...
Seems like this lady isn't just adept at running a house of ill repute, she also has super-powers, creating a telepathic "psycho-drama" in which other Omega Men nominally play roles in Harpis' memories (so they can witness them?). And so we're sent back to before Harpis was turned into a winged gargoyle by the Citadel. And young Harpis loved the escort life style.
As Demonia boiled with jealousy, Harpis got all the good gigs and was well-treated, turning even the worst Johns into gentlemen. And then there was Tigorr
Her big attraction for him was genetic incompatibility - he doesn't want kids to be born under the Citadel's fascist regime. Sure knows how to make a girl feel special. She fell in love with a different revolutionary, which is a big no-no, Delengis, one of Tigorr's men. She wants to leave with him, but under pressure from Mama Madame, she stands him up. And then she gets noticed by Blackfire...
Harpis and Demonia are taken to a lab and turned into monsters. That'll teach 'em to remind Komand'r of her sister Starfire!
She was then given to a bird-like warrior (see the cover) and the less said about that, the better. Eventually, Tigorr's group is captured and Delengis is thrown into a cell with Harpis. It's just cruelty, but he doesn't seem to mind.
When the Omega Men form among the prisoners and stage a revolt, Delengis is killed, which makes Harpis want to kill herself.
It's only her sister's support that prevents her from doing something drastic and so, losing Demonia in recent issues has made her mind snap. But good news, Delengis WASN'T dead and he Mama Madame has found him in a P.O.W. camp with half his face replaced by a metal implant. And he'll take care of our Harpis, and help her heal in both mind and body. I guess it worked, because she continued to appear. But as to this relationship, finding out how it ends would require more Omega Men reading than I'm willing to do!

Who's Next? A Sherman crew.
