IN THIS ONE... The Fourth Doctor narrates a tourism company video.
REVIEW: Tom Baker has such a great voice, it lends itself perfectly to a tourism video that incorporates all of Season 18's locations. And as Pete McTighe proved with the Jovanka Airlines promo, he has the comedy chops to provide another fun reference-fest for nerds like us. (Don't think I missed the small print about Galactic Glitter Tours' link to Chameleon Tours from The Faceless Ones, but on the second go, also the Navarino Nostalgic Tours from Delta and the Bannermen, and Max Capricorn and Kerblam on the third!) 80s-style graphics flash on the screen for extra jokes.
THEORIES: These tours seem pretty ridiculous - Meglos is now a prickly tour guide? E-Space is accessible? - but not any sillier than Delta and the Bannermen's. Could the Fourth Doctor have recorded an ad for them? Sure, why not? He even gives it a certain sinister quality as if trying to warn people off these dangerous trips. Could he have recorded it under duress? It only really falls apart when the blurays are mentioned. Could the travel company have gotten all that Doctor Who footage? Okay, probably not. Unless the Doctor fed the TARDIS cam into it as further warning not to trust these travel agents!
REWATCHABILITY: Medium - Amusing fluff, but I busted out laughing at the winery tour.
