I think the Alpha Flight baddie you were talking about was Deadly Ernest; I looked him up and couldn't find any reference to New Brunswick, but he is a Francophone who moved to Montreal from somewhere else, so let's just say he's from Moncton. If we say it enough, it'll become canon!

If they like Talisman's look here, wait till they see her later outfit ... talk about legs :)

I obviously combined him with Evil Ernie. Oops!

As for his origins, I either imagined it, or it's based on a reference in an Alpha Flight comic that stayed with me, but which I haven't tracked down. I first met him in the Mantlo issues, but since I did go back and collect the missing parts of my Byrne run, it could be there as well. But probably Mantlo, if anywhere at all. I agree that the internet doesn't corroborate my memory.
