Yes, the story is about Commando Yank on a mission in northern Africa, but the newspaper headlines on the double splash page drew my attention to OTHER missions he's credited with in headlines, in particular the January 4th raid on Dieppe. Why? Because I live a couple minutes walk from Dieppe... in New Brunswick, Canada... the sister city of the Dieppe from France. It was so named in 1946 to commemorate the almost 1000 soldiers - many of which were from this region - who died trying to liberate the Norman town on August 19th, 1942. Commando Yank's raid came later, and is entirely fictional, but you can still imagine me pointing at the panel like Leonardo DiCaprio in that one meme.
