Halloween Costume of the Day: Gulliver

Counting down to Halloween, the SBG presents some of the best costumes to appear at one of my famous (well, maybe not THAT famous) Halloween parties. First up is Sniper Ninja Bears' Bass, whom you might have seen as Mr. Incredible a couple years back on this very blog (also at that link, Emili as Death of the Endless). Here he is at another party as Jonathan Swift's Gulliver:Bass always surprises and I can't wait to see what he's got cooked up this year.

Okay, that is neat.

I, on the other hand, once was picked for laziest costume at a party back in grad school years ago.

At the time I was a history Doctoral student and I arrived a the party looking exactly like always. When asked where was my costume I pulled out some German literature books (in German) and said "See it's a German Literature Doctoral Student Costume!"

I received appropriate booing!

Sounds familiar. I've done:
-Myself from Earth-2
-Sam Beckett having Quantum Leaped into me some years prior to prevent a catastrophe
-A referee (taking into account that most people saw me reffing once a week already)
-Mac from the Charles Atlas ads (black swimming trunks bascally)
-Hamlet from a modern, all in black, production

You see the type.

That's an awesome party garb, too. I usually plan too complicated to easily get around in a crowd, or don't take into account that I might want to drink something (The Question, Leisure Suit Vader).

This year I've got it nailed - Iron man "chestplate," Hawaiian shirt, mask askew on head, big froo-froo drink, porn-star goatee, lampshade..

It's practically made for parties.

Best one I ever did was Shaun of the Dead., one New Year's Eve. You should have seen the looks I got at 2 in the morning, walking down the street with a cricket bat, and apparently covered in blood...

"So are you, like, a zombie cricketeer?"
