PUBLICATION: Star Trek: The Next Generation #28, DC Comics, February 1992
CREATORS: Michael Jan Friedman (writer), Peter Krause and Pablo Marcos (artists)
STARDATE: Unknown (follows the last issue)
PLOT: As Worf reflects on K'Ehleyr's death, everyone aboard the ship is frozen in time. Worf then meets K'Ehleyr, actually an alien being who lives but one day (but has a racial memory that is passed on to its species) and has decided to spend it exploring a relationship with Worf. To power its tricks, it brings the ship too close to a pulsar it's been studying, and Worf convinces the alien that K'Ehleyr would have sacrificed herself to save others. Lesson learned, it leaves and saves the ship, dying but spreading that lesson throughout its race.
CONTINUITY: It's the anniversary of K'Ehleyr's death (Reunion). There are appearances by Okona (The Outrageous Okona) and Ensign Ro (Ensign Ro).
DIVERGENCES: How can Ensign Ro be aboard (in a gold uniform, no less) if this issue follows straight from a Season 4 story?
PANEL OF THE DAY - Taking Worf for granted.
