PLOT: Gowron accuses the Federation of having attacked the Tholians, dragging the Klingon Empire into a war that could give the Duras a foothold. Picard denies it of course, and proof is found when the Enterprise damages a Tholian ship and its first officer, the sympathetic one, comes aboard to explain himself in lieu of his wounded captain. He reveals that a Klingon bird-of-prey has attacked Tholian outposts, sending them off to retaliate against the Klingons and their allies. Gowron recognizes the ship as the Taj, which disappeared not long ago near the planet where Picard left Hugh and the rogue Borg...
CONTINUITY: See previous issues. Another appearance by Ben the waiter (Lower Decks). Picard executes the Picard Maneuver (The Battle). Hugh and the rogue Borg were last seen in Descent Part II.
